Idisabled that, and also had DS4 running, and it worked with the "hide ds4 controller" or whatever the setting is called. This somehow made it work. Fuck if I know what the system controller driver is for, and fuck if I care. My controller is a PS5 controller and I'm running Win10-Home 64bit on a laptop. System drive is C game is on E drive.

Bottomleft of steam launcher look for "Add A Game" click it. Click Browse on the bottom left. Find AC origins and double click to add to steam launcher. It should add to steam launcher as a game you can launch from there and it should take the steam controller settings if you have them step up for steam. I used a ps5 controller so the buttons
Iam pretty sure if you are are playing on PC you can only use a xbox one controller, not a Xbox 360 controller. I could be wrong though. Xbox 360 controllers work fine on pc. For wired its plug and play but wireless do need adapter to work (Can be found in amazon for around 10-20)
