Call me salty, but Dark Souls PVP is a lot more fun when people lay off exploiting glitches and just dual. When it becomes all about the backstab you lose 90% of the gameplay (not to mention limiting the range of viable weapons). It's lame and only works to minimize the number of people playing PVP. Stop killing the game.

I haven't tried the last patch but, chaos rapier did one of the highest damage with BS/Riposte, followed by chaos bandit dagger or bandit dagger @ +15 with 40 dex. Most if not all rapiers have a higher critical modiffier followed by some knifes, I heard one of the tracers did decent BS damage.
But trying to backstab black knights shows that the hitbox for the backstab to happen can be somewhere else because the black knights back is twisted in a way. In PvP lag is the issue because they will see something else to what you see. It might not be much but it'll be enough for them to do a backstab. #2.
